my darling, clementine

A troubled young girl falls for a local seminary student while grappling with the painful reality of her sister's terminal illness. 

A deeply poetic film following a troubled young girl, Clementine, navigating the suppressed grief for her terminally ill sister, Constance. Vulnerable along the creekside with a local seminary student, Noah, their relationship begins to flourish amongst Constance’s growing cancer. Set amongst the melancholic backdrop of the Pennsylvania countryside, my darling, clementine explores questions of existence, the complexities of adolescence, and the inevitable contagiousness of grief with tragic themes from the ballad, “Oh My Darling, Clementine,” that inspired it’s title.

BONE MARROW

In the absence of her mothers support, Bobby must undergo a forced medical procedure causing a rapid deterioration of her body. 

Bone Marrow is a short body horror exploring themes of bodily invasion, identity distortion and feminine shame. Linda Macy forces her daughter, Bobby, to take part in a risky medical procedure, triggering a rapid deterioration of her body. Isolated in her home during recovery, Bobby struggles to complete her daily chores as her body fails her; wounds which are invisible to Linda. Bobby must fight against her rotting body and mother’s blindness before she looses herself in the decay. An inquiry into the feminine experience and a statement on societal expectations of women, Bone Marrow offers a grotesque exploration on what it means to heal in a place that does not see you.

L'ANGE DÉCHU

After a young ballerina wakes up in bed with her best friend, she must navigate the rigorous world of ballet and the evilness of men. 

Waking up in bed with her dance partner, a young ballerina, Mallory, must navigate her confusing feelings for him while grappling with the aftermath of a recent assault. Falling into a deep downward spiral, this film captures the complexities of healing through sexual abuse amongst the backdrop of a toxic ballet culture. A contemporary reimagining of the classic ballet, Giselle, L’ANGE DÉCHU is a harsh examination of innocence and deception.

In freshman year of 1985, two nerds unknowingly get revenge on their former middle school best friend over the corruption of a Space Invaders competition. 

Jodie and her best friend Donna tend to keep to themselves, but when their former best friend, Gretchen, requests alcohol from them for her birthday party, Jodie must navigate her desire for popularity and Donna’s growing suspicions. After Gretchen humiliates them at her party, Donna’s anger regarding their middle school Space Invaders competition boils up, causing an all-out war between her and Gretchen. In retrieving the Space Invaders award that Gretchen stole from her, Jodie and Donna finally discover the complexities of adolescences and the importance of true friendship.

Two psychiatric patients escape their hospital together and fall for one another amongst the grimy, Philadelphia subways.

When James, a dangerous patient, approaches Rose in their psychiatric facility, a plan to escape ensues. Falling for one another throughout their exploration of the Philadelphia subways, James’ grotesque tendencies eventually grow evidently clear to Rose.
